He was born on 25 April 1944 as Leonard Gordon Goodman in London, England, and passed away on 22 April 2023 at the age of 78 in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England from bone cancer in a hospice.

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March 2009. He was treated surgically at a London Hosptial. He underwent surgery in 2020 for a small facial melanoma.
