Beyonc Doubly Winks at "Cowboy Carter" in Denim on Denim on Denim
In honor of new album Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé has been killing the western outfit game again and again, and her latest looks are no exception. In choosing these fits, Bey seemed inspired by new track “Levii’s Jeans,” in which she sings: “Baby, let me rattle that snake with my venom / Denim on denim on denim on denim.” Suffice it to say, there was certainly no lack of denim in these ensembles.
Queen Bey started with a mini denim skirt suit from Alexander McQueen, which she modeled in a series of photos on Instagram. The set included an hourglass-shaped jacket with visible stitching all over it. The sleeves, which featured slits partway across the seams, were laced to the torso with thick black cords. These details mirrored the decorative laces that also went up the front and back of the jacket.
Beyoncé then paired the dark-wash top with a matching straight miniskirt, and added pops of black with a cowboy hat, oversize shades, a slightly visible bra, and super-wide cowboy boots from Givenchy. In another nod to her new album, the vocal superstar carried a navy leather handbag from Ozias that was embossed with the name “Jolene.” (She covers the Dolly Parton classic of the same name on Cowboy Carter.)
Never afraid of an outfit change, the “Texas Hold ’Em” singer showed off another denim-heavy outfit online just hours later. This time around, the look was a light-wash jumpsuit, which she layered under a plaid overcoat from Isabel Marant.
For accessories, the 32-time Grammy winner wove a brown etched leather belt through the jumpsuit, and threw on tawny cowboy boots to match. She added a light-wash denim cowboy hat and a silver layered necklace, and carried a metallic silver square clutch to round it all out.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Cécred founder show us how to pull off an all-denim look. Just a few days before Cowboy Carter was released, Beyoncé teased the album by showing off a light-wash set, which included a cropped jacket with cone details on the chest and alternating panels of fabric, as well as a pair of straight-leg jeans with asymmetrical pockets cutting across the legs.
